Welcome

Letter of Welcome:

Welcome to First Presbyterian Church of Lexington! As you see on the front of our Sunday bulletin, we welcome you - no matter who you are or where you have come from or why you are here. We are Christ's people, and this is Christ's place with its doors open wide.

First Church is the oldest congregation in Lexington, and at the same time it is a 21st century community of faith that wrestles to grow the conviction we celebrate on Sunday into Monday and beyond. We are a vibrant, downtown congregation that lives out God's remarkable grace in service to one another and the community around us.

If you are passing through, Godspeed. If you are looking for a home, stay here. If you need instruction, learn from us as we learn from you. We invite visitors to join us, but most of all to return often so that we can journey together into a future of God's unfolding.

God's blessings to you all,

Tom Farmer
Interim Pastor

Sunday worship services at First Presbyterian begin at 8:45 a.m. and at 11:00 a.m.(Directions to FPC.) Both services last approximately one hour. Greeters will welcome you and are available to answer any questions.

Once a month, First Church hosts a Service of Wholeness. Held in the chapel, this service features a more intimate, free-flowing time of prayer and contemplation using resources from the Taize tradition.
