In 2006, First Presbyterian recognized that another way to continue our relationship with many of our mission partners was to help support them and their clients through providing a meal for the holiday season. Please join in a congregation wide food-drive for this year's First Fixins (Thanksgiving Baskets for mission partners and families). The food-drive will run Sunday October 16-Sunday November 6, 2011. Please look for the display board in the Assembly Room to see the food items and quantities needed (no expired items please). Each week the total of each item collected will be updated and you will be able to see items that are still neededThe youth will also participate in a "Canned Good Scavenger Hunt" for additional canned food to include, along with cards made by the youngest members of the church. Members of all ages help gather and pack food baskets for some of our partner organizations recipients. While some gather the goods, others pack and even a few deliver the boxes to those in need, this ministry reaches to every group in this community of faith and out to those in need in and around First Church. .
